Facilities and on-board activities

Entertainment/Recreation

Le Grand Salon - Watch spectacular performances such as an electrifying Polynesian show featuring the arts of the islands in the main lounge. One night it might be the soaring cappella harmonies of himene songs. Another might feature a thrilling performance of ote'a - a complex line dance accompanied by drums telling the ancestral legends of the Polynesian people. Later on in your cruise, you'll have a chance to learn how to dance in true Polynesian style from our wonderful Gauguines performers.

Casino and Piano Bar - On any evening, pulses run high in the Le Casino with its blackjack tables and roulette wheel. Or when refreshments are in order, the Piano Bar provides a warmly relaxing environment.

La Palette Lounge - Sing along at the piano bar in this spectacular observation lounge atop the ship. At night it's transformed into a romantic nightclub where a chanteuse sings the Parisian blues and couples sway on the indoor/outdoor dance floor.

Staff & Services

What to Pack - Attire ranges from country club casual to informal and formal. Country Club casual (resort-style outfits) is appropriate for daytime on board ship or ashore.  Evening attire can be Country Club casual, informal or formal.  Casual wear includes open neck shirts, slacks and sport outfits.  For informal evenings, dresses or pantsuits, coats and ties are suggested.  Formal evening-wear is gowns and cocktail dresses, tuxedos, dinner jackets or dark suits.  Cruises of seven to ten days have one or two formal nights; longer cruises of eleven to fourteen days usually have three formal nights.

24-Hour Room Service - A special 24-hour room service menu is available. During normal dining hours, you may also order from L'Etoile Restaurant and enjoy dinner in your suite.

Shore Excursions - A program of shore excursions may be made available for purchase on board each ship.  A shore excursion booklet will be sent in advance with final documentation.  Radisson Seven Seas reserves the right to withdraw any shore excursion or land program if the required minimum passenger number is not met.  Cancellation by RSSC of any of these programs does not constitute grounds for cancellation of your cruise.  Shore excursion program fares are per guest and subject to space availability.  Operation of these shore excursions is subject to weather conditions, flight schedule changes and local conditions.  Any cruise cancellation penalties remain in effect as per terms and conditions outlined in the cruise brochure.

Butler Service - Host a cocktail party in your suite. Make reservations at La Veranda. Have a gift delivered... Your skilled butler can do it all. Butler Service is available in the Owner's and Grand Suites and categories A and B. Radisson Seven Seas is the first and only cruise line to enjoy membership in the highly respected Guild of English Butlers.

Communications - Guests can make telephone calls directly from their stateroom. Fax messages are received and sent through the reception desk. There are two computers and a printer in the Card Room. E-mail services for sending and receiving messages are available for a nominal fee, 24 hours a day.

Medical Services - The ship's Medical Center is staffed by a doctor and a nurse and equipped to provide medical care for illness or accidents that may occur during the cruise.

Health/Beauty

Carita Spa & Beauty Salon - Enter a world of serenity and beauty, where the sound of fountains, the glow of cool marble and the touch of the masseuse erase all cares.  Take your pick of massage, thalassotherapy, aromatherapy, wraps or steam room treatments - all skillfully administered by wonder-working hands.

Fitness Center & Aerobics Room - Exercise your options in our Fitness Center with Lifecycles, treadmills, Stairmasters and weight machines.  Or work out on or under the water with windsurfing, waterskiing, kayaking, and our exclusive PADI diving program.

Dining

L'Etoile - Enjoy fine French cuisine with a Polynesian accent amid the classic furnishings and fluted shell lighting reminiscent of one of the refined dining establishments in Paris . Here delectable cuisine is artfully presented and guests receive the most diligent attention.

La Veranda - Veranda's curved railings and sun-infused ambience might recall leisurely dining on a yacht club terrace on the Côte d'Azur . Two-star Michelin chef Jean-Pierre Vigato is the genius behind its celebrated cuisine. His original Apicius menu offered nightly in La Veranda incorporates both signature dishes and fresh creations, from Shrimp and Leek Terrine to Fresh Mahi-Mahi on a Mousseline of Bacalao.

Le Grill - Greet the sun with a buffet breakfast at Le Grill. Or enjoy lunch by the pool on a choice of grilled favorites, salads and fresh tropical fruits. At night Le Grill is transformed into a cozy indoor/outdoor restaurant serving grilled specialties in a more casual atmosphere.

SPECIAL DIETARY REQUESTS
Using the Guest Information Form, please advise Radisson Seven Seas Cruises between four and six weeks prior to sailing of any special dietary requirements you may have.  General dietary needs such as low salt or low cholesterol foods can be satisfied onboard the ship just by speaking with the dining wait staff.

TIPPING
Gratuities are not expected on board; they are included in your cruise fare.

Activities

Guest Lecturers - Each cruise is hosted by a special guest lecturer to provide fascinating insights and a greater understanding of the Polynesian people.

Watersports Platform - Watersports are a highlight of the Polynesian experience. The ship's small size allows it to navigate in shallow lagoons and narrow channels where larger ships may not sail. With the specially designed retractable watersports platform, guests may descend to sea level where they can conveniently hop aboard a windsurfer, launch a kayak, try a little waterskiing or set out for a SCUBA diving expedition.  A scuba certification program is offered on board.

Other Diversions - Play table tennis on deck. Shop for a flower-splashed pareu top to wear to the pool party in the duty-free boutique, or take a lesson in the technique of paddling an outrigger canoe. A wide selection of books is available in the Reading Gallery, and videotapes may be rented at the Reception Area on a complimentary basis.
